3 Tips for Living Intentionally

2 min read

I hope your year has been going well so far. I just wanted to check in with you to see how you were choosing to live intentionally in 2025? I also wanted to share with you 3 tips that I am using to be more intentional this year.

Tip #1: Make a plan

Myles Munroe said “if you don’t plan your day, someone will plan it for you”. Each week, I sit and write the goals/activities I want to accomplish for the week. Some days I get very granular - writing down what I would like to do each hour of the day. Trust me, it works, especially if you have a lot to do. It keeps me on track, as well as helps me to review my productivity at the end of the day.

Tip #2: Set Boundaries

This is a hard one for me and one which I am consistently working on. As a former people-pleaser (I am declaring it!), I find it difficult to say no. However, I recognize that if I don’t set healthy boundaries I will get caught up in activities and make commitments that I later regret. Then I get overwhelmed, tired and start complaining. This year, I’m choosing to be more focused. Some may call it selfish…. but remember my verse for the year? I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back (Philippians 3:14 MSG). So, I have decided to say no to anyone or anything that doesn’t align to my goals and vision.

Tip #3: PRAY

Late last year, I started this practice which has been working so well for me. I do my morning devotion at the start of the day (before I do anything else). I find that this helps me to be more calm and peaceful. (Oh Yes, I need that!). During the day, I try to reflect on the verse or scripture that I read for my devotion. That’s bonus, meditating on the Word of God really helps.
